I once met and fell in love with a robin red breast on who.

I owe our marriage to who.

She was posting on a thread about pecking at and munching up worms in sodden earth, i had started a thread about the best way to approach and attack into a lardy bird seed ball strung from an old ladies fucking cooking apple tree.

The way she shook her plumage, i shall never forget. The coy way in which she danced up and down on the branch like it was electrified, because basically she was unable to keep her head still like most fucking birds

I will never forget her plumage, her trill. Her beak sir.

I married her that year and we now have seven part human semi avian bird children. Alphonse, jepetto, woolels, shonky and i cant fucking remember the other twos names

Somewhere to escape
Somewhere to debate and share opinion
Somewhere to laugh

A funny place, genuinely funny. One of the few relatively non PC refuges out there. As many have commented its a bit like a throwback virtual boozer, a local, where you have to be able to hold your own or get annihilated, but despite that is oddly inclusive and tolerant.. Given the demise of real actual local boozers I enjoy it and would miss it if it was gone.

I enjoy WHO but try to follow simple rules. Avoid the match threads and any political threads. Also tend to steer clear of any threads that have Mark Noble in the title.

Happy to oblige Debs, the most obvious ones for me are Johnson , Pancho and Polite, they've all become as dull as ditchwater.

Re: What does WHO mean to you?
Sanctuary.

Outlet.

Recipient of thousands of my words worth of total drivel.

Inlet to my eyes of hundreds of thousands of words put down by scores of people i have never known, nor met but may have stood aside unkown at west ham during my diverse and fragmentary times.

WHO is a place i read religiously, as clockwork as the news sites that have been my online horizons since the dawning of the tanterwebnage age. A sage.

Its like a fucking weather vane of the opinions of people who i must have felt once were valid, vain because they were like my own, of the same springs sprung, west ham sown.

A well that has not withered up with the coming of age, family growth and expansion of the calendars stages as greying barnet ranges and rages.

Ive always thought rightly and possibly wrongly that a west ham boy is someone to be trusted and / or a cut above anyone not bonded with. Strongly.

Ive learned on who we do not all think the same, there isnt a type. A surprise at first but age has taught me differences are lifes spice. I still like to read the many thoughts though. Its just Ive realised now we arent all in the same know.

have not always agreed or been entertained, but have always read and maintained that. I have often sought out WHO to read the reactions of people to historical or by comparison trivial events. Old hat, new tat or just read reactions to passed times, views or lives writ electronically thread wide.

I have looked at the site every day for a good 20 or so years of my adult life. Pretty and ugly much every day. In the morning when i have a snout, and at the outers of monday to sundays last light.

The main and sole reason i am west ham is my old boy.
This might be a way of stringing it out, digitally carrying it on. I dont know sir. I'll tell my nippers about it when the time is right, see what they think. If they see my sight.

Met Defjam at Fabric once and he was a gentleman - a very nice chap, done me a favour. Seemed to me genuine, one of our own. That night, my saviour.

I was with mary at the time, a big rumped irish girl, booze flown i Used to stay with at the novotel tower bridge, too drunk to see or let her know my real name. Told her i was alfie, my WHO born game.

Back then i did not care if i lived or died and drank and fucked round london with deathwish eyes, just escaped from and posted about from before and after on WHO: for something to see and do before i got caught in the pissedness i loved, to capture the stream of wise wasted weekends like a dipso maniac tramp by night, fell into regretful sorrow at mornings light. Then home to who and wrote out my comedown plight, or read words i could not remember writing in my alchoholic plight.

Now i have responsibilities, get pissed at home and come on who. 20 years on, i am still reading. Still visiting, still feeding.

A strange thing when you think of it, a watering trough place that only exists digitally in the ethers froth, that i felt homely and anonymous enough in to type the exact bollocks in my head there and then, on all those occasions, Across years, and weekends.

Re: What does WHO mean to you?
For me it's the only place I can talk west ham and more generally football, although my brother is a good source for the latter. A west ham supporters group recently formed in the last few months in Atlanta. Ran into them on boxing day at a pub whilst watching us draw with Villa. I was with my sister who commented that she didn't know anyone else who followed west ham, and thinking about it, neither did I with the exception of this place. I've tried other west ham sites but this place has an authenticity about it and paradoxically both despite and perhaps because of the cunts on here.

I come here for the news , tax advice and to maintain the ability to let not things bother me that shouldn't, I feel razor sharp as a result (for the real world I mean).

Met plenty in real life, a lot flatter to deceive, I count Mentor as a friend, and I have noted standards dropping (dull broken record style) from quite a few that I once thought were worth reading.

When's Jadie-May back from maternity leave?

WHO to me is like a real life soap opera where 99.9% of the time it's shit but every now and then someone has a meltdown or it all kicks off or there is a bring your dinner moment and I laugh my bollocks off and it makes it all worthwhile. Also it's a great place to randomly abuse people
